Louise Stoll

Louise Stoll (PhD) is Emerita Professor of Professional Learning, UCL Institute of Education and an international consultant. She focuses on how school, system and national leaders create capacity for learning in a changing world, emphasising schools as learning organisations, professional learning communities, creative leadership, and leadership development. Since 2021, Louise has enjoyed supporting Arts-Council funded creativity collaboratives in NE and NW England.

A former President of the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI), Fellow of England’s Academy of the Social Sciences, and regular expert to the OECD, Louise also has many publications. She’s passionate about helping practitioners bring research findings to life. Her most recently co-developed research-based materials include Creative Thinking: A Playbook for Leaders with Bill Lucas, CCE colleagues, and others (Crown House, 2023).

As a frequent international keynote presenter and workshop facilitator, Louise encourages learning that is stimulating, challenging and evidence-enriched, within a supportive, collaborative environment.
